Better together is a group of women who came together during the pandemic. From different backgrounds and realities, we met for a purpose: to support each other during the last semester of college.

In a challenging moment, of high demand, amidst diverse professional, personal, and cultural concerns, we found each other support to remain strong.

In a world of competition, we understand that together we are better.

Each of us has different skills and life experiences, which enriches the relationship. We realize that in a moment of conversation, we can open our horizons, give each other ideas, provide network and renew our energies for a new day.

We decided to take the strength and tranquillity we found in our meetings outside of our group. Our meetings take place on different days and times to meet everyone’s schedule. We meet with a small group to make it easier for everyone to get to know each other. You are welcome to talk, listen, tell your experiences, offer help, give tips and enjoy the snacks.

You woman, mother, single, student, professional, entrepreneur, come and join us. Join our support group via telegram. Follow us on Instagram for daily tips and to know about upcoming events.

Daniela Giovanetti

Business Accounting student. What was a challenge now is a world reality. Keeping running a company bases in Brazil was the first challenge my husband and I had to face. But a month after we arrived in Canada Covid-19 had changed all current concepts of work, and fortunately, we were prepared to provide the service online. However, I did not expect to have online classes. But adapting to a new situation was necessary; although exists a lack of experience exchange between professors and colleagues.

Laiza Cardoso

With over ten years of experience in material planning, she decided to come to Canada and start a new journey as a student of business accounting. In the firsts months of college, worked in retail, but in the third semester of college started the co-op in a tax office. Due to COVID, the college allowed a shorter period of co-op, she took advantage of this opportunity and proposed to the office the extension of her co-op. As soon as the co-op finished, she starts as a part-time employee in the accounting field. None of her jobs adopted the home office. She sees the COVID situation as a changing (for better) opportunity.

Ludmila Borges

Business accounting student at Fanshawe College. I work at Dillon Consulting and after the pandemic started, I had to work remotely and some things needed to be adapted to the new reality COVID-19 has brought to us. After many IT training now, I understand a little bit more about internet security and business information protection.
